Overview
Many of you know that the world is in the grip of COVID-19, a pandemic many of us have never seen before. Since March 2020 we have been dealing with the deadly COVID-19 and it has been very tough for the whole world managing life and livelihood. COVID -19 created such havoc that we are dealing with fear, frustration, panic, anger, confusion and more importantly, we are looking at the COVID positive patients as beasts.
On one hand, the Doctors, Nurses, other healthcare workers, and support staff are working day and night in close contact with the COVID patients without any fear of getting infected, we are frightened to even with the thought of neighbour being quarantined or infected. While we need to be concerned with who is quarantined and infected, we also need to get out of the fear and follow simple guidelines of Social Distancing and wearing masks, etc, etc. We may have to do this for over a year to be safe than sorry.
We must get real and understand that we cannot eliminate the Pandemic until a Vaccine is developed and tested. Therefore, at this juncture, it is very important and urgent to make some right decisions. Extension of lockdown is not an option. Life is important but livelihood is even more important especially for a country like India. We should get back quickly into working mode and revive the economy to save crores of daily wage workers.
Needless to say, the Government cannot do it alone! Many people of the Country have done a lot of things to contain and manage the Pandemic to minimise the damage to people and the economy.
As a part of Social responsibility Principle Circle developed an APP,” DECON” to successfully manage social distancing and commute. We believe that if as a Nation we have to fight this enemy then we have to take charge and fight collectively.
